While Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a great surprisingly great film, intriguing, solid, well written and entertaining, the sequel Dawn of The Planet of the Apes is a few notches down. It is a movie to fill up a planned trilogy that adds little or nothing to the general Planet of the Apes plot ark. The argument isn't solid or slightly believable (even with all the fantasy, Rise was at least credible and logical), is full of plot holes, it is forced, basic and predictable. The classic story of two factions that want to protect themselves against the others, but end up concluding it is not the race, but the "heart" that makes us equal. The Planet of the Apes franchise didn't need this crap. It didn't need all the mindless CGI gunfights and it didn't need the cheap morale. Sometimes it will entertain you, but most of the time it will just bore you. Mainly from the point where you realize the movie isn't going anywhere...
