There seems to be something wrong with movies nowadays... Many movies that one would expect to be terribly bad, such as a sixth movie of the Fast and Furious series, just end up being really good! From the first to the fourth movie this series had ups and downs but was ultimately pretty bad. Fast Five ended up being pretty good and Fast and Furious 6 gets even better. Cars are not the only theme now, the plot really gets real and interesting, as it gets a more action oriented direction with the comeback of Dwayne Johnson and the introduction of the impressive martial artist and rising star Gina Carano. The filming and editing is very well done also, visually we are watching a really high quality movie. But there are several low points that stain the overall experience: the comic relief characters really do not fit in, there are several plot holes, still some cheesy dialog every now and then, and some use of CGI in a movie that really didn't ask for it... In the end this is a very fine and entertaining action flick, the highest point of the series, that sets the bar high for the 7th episode.
